Denver's Guillaume Moret put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 1972 National Baseball League Most Valuable Player Award.
The 29-year-old veteran scorched the opposition with a .326 average, picking up 171 hits, 18 doubles, 8 triples, 35 home runs and 75 RBIs, while scoring 158 runs.
Guillermo Morales of the Milwaukee Dairymen finished second in voting, while Randy Barnes of the San Diego Captains finished third.
