San Francisco Rookie Hurls His Way to ABL Honor Tuesday, October 1st , 1974 Last month Dan Wood strong-armed the American Baseball League hitters and picked up 2 victories. In addition San Francisco hurler also picked up the league's Rookie of the Month honors. In September the 23-year-old Wood recorded a 2-0 won-lost mark with a 1.17 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 15.1 innings. Currently Wood has 9 saves. In 39 relief appearances he has hurled 59 innings, struck out 46 and issued 21 walks with a 8-5 record. The San Francisco reliever has recorded a 2.90 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .202 when he is on the mound. |
