Denver's Carr Reaps NBL's Rookie Award

The debut season of Denver's shortstop Chuck Carr was capped off today with the announcement that he has been crowned the 1974 National Baseball League Rookie of the Year Award winner.
Here are his season stats: 127 games played, a .206 average, 84 hits, 4 home runs, 53 walks and a .296 on-base percentage. Carr also drove in 36 runs and scored 38 times.
Dennis Boggs of the Kansas City Bulls finished second in voting, while Paul Parkyn of the San Diego Captains finished third.
