Hit Parade: McHale Pops 5 Hits
Sunday, July 27th, 1952
Bob McHale of the Bluebirds was unstoppable in today's 13-1 victory over the St. Louis Explorers at Flatbush Park. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.

"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Brooklyn shortstop after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."

Bob McHale singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Tony Allen in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

On the year McHale has hit .366 with 1 home run, 5 RBIs and scored 10 runs.
