Cleveland Loses Ernie Wilkins Tuesday, April 6th , 1976 Ernie Wilkins of the Cleveland Bobcats was injured in today's game against Pittsburgh and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a fractured thumb, and he is expected to be out for up to 5-6 weeks. It happened while Wilkins was being hit by a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." |
