San Francisco Tops Montreal Again, 7-2
Montreal had trouble with San Francisco starter Jerry Patrick, who frustrated Habitants hitters, as the Seagulls cruised to victory, 7-2, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. The Seagulls now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series, thanks in large part to the right-handed Patrick, who controlled Montreal throughout the contest and threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for John Cobb? The San Francisco third baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Seagulls on top, 2-0. For the game, Cobb had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Cobb said after the game.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, October 9th , 1977 at Mission Field in San Francisco.
