Dominant Performance by Hull in New York Win
|
Chris Hull, who finished 3rd in the NBL in on-base percentage with .374 in 1968, imposed his will on the Industrials from the get-go. Relying mainly on his sinker, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 New York triumph. The defeat makes Pittsburgh 43-32.
Hull, now 6-8, scattered 2 hits over 8.2 innings for the Knickerbockers.
"I liked his command," said New York manager Timothy Widholm. "Chris was throwing strikes."
