Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Twin Cities Northmen and the San Francisco Seagulls. Twin Cities won it, 3-1. Twin Cities starter Syed Farooqi was in command. Rick Lindstrom earned his 13th save in 18 chances. The Northmen improved to 43-37.
Tom McNabb came through with a big-time hit for Twin Cities. The shortstop smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim.
