Bobcats Win 3-2 Walk-Off
|
The Cleveland Bobcats got a stellar effort from pitcher Paul Wiley, helping Cleveland score a win over the visiting Philadelphia Quakers, 3-2. The winner was Cleveland reliever Ivan Rogue, now 5-3. The loser was Bill Kaiser. The Bobcats, now 40-43, have won 4 in a row.
Dave Appleby was the walk-off hero for Cleveland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bobcats first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The vibe's good," said Cleveland manager Daniel Mays. "We've got to keep it going."
