The Toronto Hurons defeated the New York Empires, 8-2, at Dominion Field. Toronto shortstop Roberto Hinojosa had a superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Ron Haney, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Toronto is now 37-50, while New York is 47-39.

Jack Banes hit a 2-run double off Nate Frampton in the bottom of the third, which put the Hurons in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Banes had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
