Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Los Angeles Pobladores and Chicago Hawks.

Carlos Novoa never let Chicago get something going. The Los Angeles right-hander commanded his sinker in pitching the Pobladores to a 1-0 win. Novoa got the win, improving to 6-2. He gave up 2 hits and walked 6 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs.

In the top of the fifth, with the game tied, Chicago allowed the Pobladores to go up, 1-0, on a Chicago error.
