9 Straight Wins for Wranglers
|
Dallas and Seattle duked it out and the Wranglers came out victorious.
Behind an impressive start by Bill Malcuit, Dallas beat Seattle, 5-2. Malcuit got the win, improving to 11-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. Malcuit allowed 2 runs. Barry Gilmore, credited with the save, is now 11 for 11 in save opportunities.
John Hammit had a big run-scoring triple for the Wranglers in the bottom of the third inning. With Dallas leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from Denny Goldberg and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wranglers ahead, 3-1.
Hammit told the Dallas Citizen: "I was born for the big stage."
The wins continue to add up for Dallas, with the latest making it 9 in a row.
