Denver Bats Go Silent in 5-0 Loss
The Kansas City Bulls got a marvelous performance from pitcher Skip Carter. The left-hander kept the Denver offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 5-0 Kansas City victory at Gates Crescent Park. The third-place Bulls have won 4 straight.

Dave Lester had a big 2-run triple for the Bulls in the top of the fourth inning. With Kansas City leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from 33-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Pelton and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bulls ahead, 4-0.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Carter.
