The Twin Cities Northmen picked up a win at Twin Cities Stadium, courtesy of Syed Farooqi. The right-hander helped his team stop the San Francisco Seagulls, 3-0. Farooqi picked up the win for Twin Cities, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 8-6. Bill Smith, credited with the save, is now 4 for 5 in save opportunities.

The Northmen got a big at-bat from catcher Marv Honer. For the game, Honer went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Twin Cities a 2-0 lead.

"It's a mindset," said Farooqi. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
