Terriers Squelch Empires Offense in Shutout Win
|
Right-hander Denny Beason mesmerized the New York Empires while leading the Boston Terriers to a 4-0 victory. With the loss, New York is 2-7.
Making an impact for the home team was Willie Black. In the bottom of the third, the 38-year old left fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 2-0, Terriers.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Black.
