Drillers Win, 9-5, at Chicago
|
Chicago got a terrific game from second baseman Buck DeFalco. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Houston, 9-5. DeFalco went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Angel Colon. He tossed 100 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits. Houston is now 57-38, while Chicago is 38-56.
In the top of the second, Houston center fielder Mark Sisson had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Sisson stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 6-2, Houston. For the game, he went 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Sisson.
