The Dallas Wranglers had to overcome a big game from Houston third baseman Wade Fields to leave Bluff Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4, in 10 innings. Fields went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The 4th-place Drillers have dropped 5 straight games.

The Wranglers got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Mike Shreve. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wranglers.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Nate Nilsson told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
