|
Starting pitcher Dick Scorza did his part in helping the Denver Burros thwart the New York Knickerbockers, 2-1. Scorza went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 9-5. With the win, the Burros sit at 54-44.
Guillaume Moret, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Moret contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Denver up, 2-0.
