Eagles Lose, 3-1, at Independence Field
|
The Kansas City Bulls picked up a win at Independence Field, courtesy of Charlie Hickman. The right-hander helped his team stop the Washington Eagles, 3-1. The 5th-place Bulls improved to 47-53.
In the bottom of the sixth, Kansas City third baseman Joe Rafferty put his team on top. With one out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 16th home run of the year. Washington pitcher Chet Lee served it up. Just like that, the Bulls were ahead, 2-1.
"We put together a nice win," Hickman said.
