Los Angeles Pobladores starter Carlos Novoa was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the San Francisco Seagulls, 4-1. Dave Young earned his 5th save in 6 chances. The Pobladores improved their record to 53-51 by beating San Francisco.

Los Angeles used the clutch hitting of Joe Roberson to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pobladores ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Roberson.
