Keller Breezes to Shutout Victory
|
Magic was in the air and on the mound at Quakers Stadium today as Tom Keller held the Philadelphia Quakers spellbound in his 3-0 shutout victory. The Brooklyn Bluebirds pitcher went the distance, rang up 7 strikeouts, walked 1 and held the Quakers to 5 hits to garner the win.
"He just had us in his thrall," Philadelphia manager Jeff Green said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
So far this year Keller has 6 wins and 3 losses and a 4.24 ERA.
