Empires Fall, 9-1, to Warnock, Habitants
|
The Montreal Habitants defeated the New York Empires, 9-1, in American Baseball League action at Queens Field. Frank Warnock pulled his weight. The 12-year veteran went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The Habitants have now won 4 straight.
With Montreal leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Warnock hit a curveball from Nate Frampton for a solo home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Habitants ahead, 2-0.
"Winning is contagious," said Warnock. "We're looking forward to the next game."
