Getting a good performance from third baseman Champ Arkle, the Milwaukee Dairymen defeated the St. Louis Explorers, 14-3. Arkle went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 and driving in 2 for the Dairymen. With the victory, the Dairymen upped their record to 56-54.

Early in the game, shortstop Cliff Bragg had a bases-clearing double for Milwaukee. It was his 24th double of the season and put the Dairymen on top, 3-0.

Arkle told a Milwaukee Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
