Goldberg Now 10-5 After Subduing Hawks
|
Pitcher Denny Goldberg was sensational for the Seattle Emeralds in his team's 2-0 triumph over the Chicago Hawks. Goldberg earned the win. Pat Burkholder was credited with the save, his 1st in 1 tries. The defeat makes Chicago 46-69.
Goldberg, who dominated for Seattle, earned the victory to move to 10-5. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 2. Chicago batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Denny was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Seattle manager Mark Velez.
