The Dallas Wranglers got a sterling performance from pitcher Dave Young, but the Chicago Hawks still prevailed, 4-3. Young threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Angel Villatoro earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 11-4. The 6th-place Hawks now sit at 51-67.

Chicago used the timely hitting of Sergio Morales to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hawks on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," said Morales after the game.
