Dallas 4-2 Losers to Pobladores

The game between Los Angeles and Dallas is in the books, despite a little rain.
Los Angeles turned a good performance from starting pitcher Dave Young into a 4-2 triumph over the Dallas Wranglers at San Vicente Park. Young, the winner, moves to 4-1. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 1 walk. George Cooper was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.
The Pobladores got a big at-bat from catcher Darrell Martin. For the game, Martin went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Los Angeles a 3-1 lead.
Martin attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
By defeating Dallas, the 5th-place Pobladores improved to 54-67.
