The New York Empires downed the Dallas Wranglers, 4-1, at Queens Field. Stellar pitching by Nate Frampton had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 4th in the ABL in strikeouts with 133, handcuffed his opponent all game. The loss makes Dallas 61-62.

Lowell Bickle hit a run-scoring double off Steve Coomes in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Empires in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Bickle had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Bickle.
