In a remarkable performance, San Francisco Seagulls starter Arturo Lopez beat the Toronto Hurons, 2-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Seagulls hurler finished with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Toronto manager Jim Burns said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
To date this year, in 24 starts, Lopez has crafted a 11-6 mark with a 2.76 ERA.
