Olson Socks 2 Home Runs in 10-7 New York Win
New York first baseman Irv Olson had a 6-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Boston Terriers, 10-7. The Empires improved to 66-61.

With New York leading 8-7 in the bottom of the seventh, Olson hit a 2-run single off Boston hurler Brian Long. It was the 100th hit of the season for Olson and put his team ahead, 10-7.

"We got the victory," said Olson. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
