Hudson Stars for Habitants in 6-0 Win
|
Good production from third baseman Ed Hudson helped the Montreal Habitants topple the San Francisco Seagulls, 6-0. Hudson went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Habitants. Oscar Rodela, who is tied for 4th in the ABL in wins with 14, was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed no runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. The Habitants lead the American Baseball League Eastern Division by 4 games.
Montreal took a 6-0 lead on Hudson's 18th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Dan Wood in the top of the eighth, propelled Montreal to the win.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Hudson told the Montreal Bulletin.
