The Twin Cities Northmen and Detroit Wolverines completed their game despite the rain.

The Twin Cities Northmen faced a tough opponent in Detroit pitcher Juan Rodriguez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Wolverine Field by a final score of 6-4 in 13 innings. Rodriguez went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win belonged to Bill Smith in relief. His record improves to 6-4. Basil Anderson took the loss for Detroit.

Twin Cities used a timely hit from Len Emery to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Northmen ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Big win," said Emery.

The 4th-place Wolverines have lost 4 straight games.
