Seattle got a first-rate effort from pitcher Bill Lemley, who frustrated Twin Cities hitters en route to a 3-1 Emeralds triumph at Twin Cities Stadium. Seattle pitcher Carroll Reynolds earned the win, hiking his record to 8-4. Paul Whitaker suffered the loss. The win elevated the Emeralds to 72-55.
Dave Robertson had a direct impact on the outcome. Robertson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Seattle up, 2-1.
"Felt great, felt really good," said Lemley.
