Hawks Pick Up 9-4 Win Against Seattle
|
The Chicago Hawks withstood a fine game by Seattle right fielder Roberto Salazar at Puget Field, to upend the Emeralds, 9-4. Salazar was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Hawks sport a record of 49-87.
Chicago used a clutch at-bat from Jim Farrar to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Hawks ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Farrar.
