In a low-scoring contest between the Los Angeles Pobladores and the Seattle Emeralds, Jim Arndt, who is tied for 6th in the ABL in innings pitched with 216.2, proved to be the difference. The Los Angeles right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Pobladores win. Leon Fairley got the save, the 21st for him this season. The victory gives the Pobladores a record of 75-67.

Arndt delivered a quality start for Los Angeles. The 6-foot-0 right-hander allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 9 innings of work.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Seattle manager Mark Velez.
