Quakers Get Thrilling 8-7 Win
In a tight contest at Quakers Stadium, the Philadelphia Quakers edged the New York Knickerbockers by the score of 8-7 in 10 innings. Philadelphia left fielder Larry Allen, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Philadelphia reliever Joe Sclafani picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Ollie Hundley took the loss. Philadelphia is now 61-83.

The Quakers got a clutch hit from second baseman Ron Paige. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Quakers.

"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Allen said.
