Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Pobladores
San Vicente Park did not lack for drama.

San Francisco got a terrific performance from pitcher Jerry Patrick, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Pobladores. Los Angeles won the San Vicente Park contest, 4-3. Patrick threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The victory gives Los Angeles a record of 83-67.

Batting in the bottom of the 12th, four-time All-Star John Fine had a real shot to win the game. San Francisco pitcher Arnie Keilman was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Fine hit a run-scoring single. The Pobladores had a walk-off triumph.

"This ballpark was lit," Fine said.
