Hawks Deal Northmen 4-3 Defeat
Starting pitcher Tim Torda pitched well enough to help the Chicago Hawks beat the Twin Cities Northmen, 4-3. Angel Villatoro earned the save for Chicago, his 11th. The Hawks improved their record to 69-87 with the win over Twin Cities.

Chicago used the hitting of Chuck Burton to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Hawks on top, 4-3. For the game, Burton had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Torda.
