Jacobs, Northmen March to 13-0 Victory
|
Rain could not dampen the pregame excitement of Chicago fans. But the subsequent loss, and a disappointing one at that, to the Northmen had to.
The Twin Cities Northmen thumped the Chicago Hawks, 13-0, at Hyde Park Stadium. Carl Jacobs was a big reason his team got the win. Jacobs was 4-5 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. With the win, Twin Cities boosts its record to 9-8.
Steve Pavey helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Northmen.
Chicago manager Mike Flaherty called the blowout loss "undesirable."
