Bluff Park was the site of a competitive game between the San Francisco Seagulls and Dallas Wranglers.

The Dallas Wranglers had to weather a strong performance from San Francisco pitcher Ray Heath before claiming a 1-0 win in 10 innings. Heath went 8 innings and allowed no runs. The win went to Dario Perez in relief, making him now 1-0. Archie Sereni took the loss for San Francisco.

The Wranglers got a clutch hit from center fielder Pat Simmons. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wranglers.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Simmons. "But we got it done."

The loss lowers the San Francisco record to 0-2.
