Hall Hits 2 home runs in Emeralds Win
|
The Seattle Emeralds stymied the Dallas Wranglers, 5-1, at Puget Field. Charlie Hall had a good day at the plate. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Seattle. Seattle pitcher Mike Harris got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Bill Malcuit got the loss. The victory puts Seattle at 65-96.
Hall contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Seattle in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Hall took a cutter from Bill Malcuit and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Emeralds to leap in front, 2-1.
Hall called the triumph "a good team win."
