Baseball fans saw a good contest between the San Francisco Seagulls and Twin Cities Northmen.

Behind the bravura of right fielder John Simon, the San Francisco Seagulls topped the Twin Cities Northmen by the score of 5-4. Simon went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Seagulls. Bill Fletcher, the winner, goes to 4-1. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and no strikeouts over 6 innings.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Simon hit a 2-run home run off Ben Hall. It propelled the Seagulls into the lead, 4-2.
