Seattle Earns 3-2 Win
The Seattle Emeralds earned a close win over the Dallas Wranglers, thanks in part to Dave Gilson. The Seattle right-hander, who is tied for 8th in the ABL in quality starts with 24, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Gilson, now 13-8, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Phil Moore collected save number 24.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Dan Arrington to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Emeralds on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Gilson. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."

Seattle is now 92-70.
