Pittsburgh turned a good effort from starter Jerry Zaruba into a win over the Philadelphia Quakers at Allegheny Field. The Industrials won the game, 1-0. To call the performance of the 1975 Quakers subpar is an understatement.

The decisive blow was delivered by Terry McClellan in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 15-year veteran Mel Hartman to win the game for Pittsburgh. The home crowd went nuts.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said McClellan.
