Houston Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in DR
The Houston Drillers got a strong performance from pitcher Dick Knight, who stymied the visiting San Francisco Seagulls en route to a win, 8-0, in Game 3 of the Divisional Round. The Seagulls could never get a bead on the right-handed Knight, who threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The Drillers now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Knight, a native of Ontario, Oregon, was dealing all game. He kept San Francisco hitters off-balance, while giving the Drillers 8 quality innings. Knight threw 110 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 2.

"I was able to fill up the zone," said Knight.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sam Houston Field in Houston.
