Stambaugh Handcuffs Pobladores, Seagulls Seize 2-0 Advantage in DR
The San Francisco Seagulls got an exceptional performance from starter Tim Stambaugh, who silenced the Los Angeles offense en route to a 5-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the Divisional Round. The Pobladores could never get a bead on the right-handed Stambaugh, who threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball. The Seagulls now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

The Pobladores had their hands full with Stambaugh, who overpowered Los Angeles hitters while racking up 13 strikeouts.

"Tim knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said San Francisco manager Al Borie.

The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 30th , 1977 at San Vicente Park in Los Angeles.
