Almost There: San Francisco On Cusp of DR Triumph After 7-4 Win
The San Francisco Seagulls moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the visiting Baltimore Lords at Mission Field by a score of 7-4. Seagulls right-hander Pete Ragsdale had a strong outing in which he threw 9.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The win gives the Seagulls a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Jose Barroso hit a run-scoring double off Kenny Wilson in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Seagulls in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Barroso had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

"We aren't quitting," Baltimore manager Steve Read said. "Yeah, the odds are definitely in their favor, but they've got to earn it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mission Field in San Francisco.
