Dallas had trouble with Houston starter Dick Knight, who frustrated Wranglers hitters, as the Drillers cruised to victory, 5-1, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. The Drillers now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series, thanks in large part to the right-handed Knight, who controlled Dallas throughout the contest and threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball.

There was more than one reason the Drillers beat the Wranglers, but Knight's big at-bat in the top of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Knight.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Sam Houston Field in Houston.
