When the games really matter, the Dallas Wranglers put on their best show, beating the Houston Drillers by a final score of 9-7. Bob Rawlins was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Dallas now leads Houston 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.

Chikashi Yoshimura came through with a big-time hit for Dallas. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 9-7. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Drillers manager Tom Harrington did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the World Series."

Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Bluff Park in Dallas.
