Boston Blanks Twin Cities, Long Winner
|
Boston Terriers fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Brian Long blanked the Twin Cities Northmen, 2-0 at Twin Cities Stadium today. Long stopped them on 7 hits while walking 2 and striking out 3.
"Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Terriers skipper Tom Lacher said. "He was on top of his game in this one."
His record this year is 3-2 in 5 starts and Long has a 1.32 ERA.
