Packers Thwart Blockbusters, 6-5
Los Angeles shortstop Bill May had a good game, even if his team did not. The Blockbusters dropped a 6-5 decision to Cincinnati at Blockbuster Stadium. May went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Art Ledington earned the win to go to 4-0. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. Kenny Foster earned his 8th save, after closing out the game.

It could have been a different outcome for Cincinnati, had it not been for Stan Timmons, the two-time All-Star . Timmons contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Cincinnati up, 6-4.

Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.

The defeat makes the Blockbusters 11-17.
