The Baltimore Lords did just enough to sneak past the Boston Terriers, 1-0, at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Baltimore pitcher Mark Sanders, in particular, had a standout performance. Sanders picked up the win for Baltimore, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Brian Alfieri nailed down his 4th save.
Baltimore relied on the hitting of Armando Landa to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Lords on top, 1-0. For the game, Landa had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Baltimore manager Jordan Wells.
The loss drops the Terriers to 13-16.
