Seagulls Suffer One-Run Loss at Atlanta
Ray Heath pitched well, but the San Francisco Seagulls still lost the game, falling, 2-1, to the Atlanta Generals at Atlantic Station Field. Atlanta starter Bill Davis was credited with the win after throwing 82 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 3-3. Earning his 3rd save for Atlanta was Jeff Jordan.

John Darnell, who led the NBL in stolen bases with 69 in 1964, helped out the Atlanta cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman was 1-4.

"It wasn't easy, but we got it done," said Darnell.

The defeat makes San Francisco 22-13.
