Emeralds Tuck Away 7-4 Win Over Chicago
The Seattle Emeralds beat the Chicago Hawks, 7-4, at Puget Field. Seattle right fielder Roberto Salazar had an outstanding performance. He was 2-2 with 2 singles and a walk. Pat Burkholder picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-0 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 1 in 6 innings, while yielding 3 runs. The Emeralds, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.

Seattle took a 6-3 lead on George Borowy's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Borowy hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Chicago pitcher Alfredo Alvarado visibly frustrated.
