Boston Terriers starter Bruce Shurtleff hurled his team past the Chicago Hawks, 4-2. The winner was Shurtleff. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Kevin Edwards. Layton Taylor earned the save for Boston.
Zach Hodge, who is tied for 3rd in the ABL in doubles with 11, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hodge contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Boston up, 3-2.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Hodge.
Boston, at 18-19, sits in 5th place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division.
