Habitants Lose to Lords, 7-3
|
Bart Dunsley, who finished 4th in the NBL in innings pitched with 270.1 in 1966, propelled his team to victory over the Montreal Habitants. The final score was 7-3, Baltimore. Dunsley, who finished 3rd in the NBL in wins with 17 in 1968, went the distance for Baltimore. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Baltimore.
It could have been a different outcome for Baltimore, had it not been for Lew Ward, the 27-year old left fielder . Ward contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Baltimore up, 2-0.
