Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Emeralds
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Seattle Emeralds and the Baltimore Lords, Leon Finkel was the X factor. The Seattle right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. Fred Wild, now 2-0, was credited with the win in 7 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Seattle bumps their record to 17-23 with the win.
The Emeralds got a clutch hit from first baseman Dave Robertson. In the bottom of the 21st, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Emeralds.
"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Robertson.
